Host defence unit
The host defence unit at Royal Brompton Hospital investigates and treats patients with all forms of respiratory tract infection.
We have special expertise in the management of patients with bronchiectasis, primary immunodeficiency, mycobacterial infections including tuberculosis and atypical species, and disorders of ciliary function.
We accept referrals from colleagues in the hospital and general practitioners. We may suggest that newly referred cases come into Royal Brompton for a few days of programmed investigations.
