Priority seats for patients, visitors and staff who may need to take breaks from walking are being set up in designated areas at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.
The seats, called ‘Sit Stop' chairs, are designed to be used by anyone who needs to sit down for a short time, for example if they are elderly, pregnant or disabled. The ‘Sit Stop’ initiative was set up in 2005 by a local community group who wanted to make sure shops and public buildings had a seat available for anyone needing it.
We will be updating this page with more information about where Sit Stop chairs in our hospitals are located.
