Biography
Mr Maziar Mireskandari qualified in medicine at Leeds University, with his doctorate of medicine (MD) including a research project in vascular surgery.
He then trained as a vascular surgeon in London and has been a consultant since 2008.
In 2015, he joined the Trust from Imperial College NHS Trust and has since performed the Trust’s first complex stent for extensive aortic aneurysms.
He also ran the Trust’s first simulation training course in aortic valve and aortic pathology stenting in 2016.
Clinical interests
Mr Mireskandari is an expert in open and endovascular minimally invasive surgery for complex aortic disease. This includes:

aneurysms

dissections
-
occlusive disease.
His other interests include minimally invasive varicose vein surgery, and his techniques reduce the length of hospital stay and post-operative recovery time for patients.
