Biography
Dr Mark Rosenthal graduated in 1981 with honours, achieving distinctions in paediatrics, surgery and pathology and winning six under-graduate prizes. He attained his postgraduate diploma, Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians in 1984 and in 1990, the Royal College of Physicians accredited Dr Rosenthal as paediatrician with a special interest in neonatal medicine.
In 1996, he was appointed Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and in 1999, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
Areas of expertise
Dr Rosenthal is a consultant in paediatric respiratory medicine at Royal Brompton Hospital and specialises in all children's chest problems, cough, food allergies and sleep disorders.
Research interests
Dr Rosenthal's research interests include:
- respiratory physiology
- cystic fibrosis
Teaching
Dr Rosenthal has been invited to give lectures in many European countries, the USA, Japan, Peru and South Africa.
He is the visiting professor of respiratory paediatrics at the Odessa I.I. Mechnikov national university and visiting consultant in respiratory paediatrics in Lviv in Ukraine, Doha in Qatar and Thessalonika, Greece.
