Biography
Dr Shruthi Konda is a consultant respiratory physician at Royal Brompton Hospital.
Dr Konda graduated from Imperial College in 2007. She continued with her postgraduate training in respiratory and general medicine, working at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Royal Brompton Hospital.
Dr Konda also holds a Bachelors degree with Honours in Management and Medical Sciences from Imperial College Business School, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education.
Teaching
Alongside her role as a consultant respiratory physician, Dr Konda is an MRCP PACES examiner on behalf of the Royal College of Physicians. She has also worked as a Foundation Training Programme Director, and as a Royal College of Physicians tutor. Having been elected onto numerous committees at the Royal College of Physicians, Dr Konda works with colleagues to drive improvements in health and healthcare through advocacy and education. In October 2022, Dr Konda was appointed as the Linacre Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Konda is also educational lead for the British Sleep Society, and organises, speaks, and chairs at national and international courses and conferences.
