Patient webinars: Covid-19 and cardiac sarcoidosis

In the coming months, we will be hosting a series of webinars to give patients the opportunity to hear from members of our cardiac sarcoidosis team as they discuss Covid-19 and what this may mean for patients. Patients will also have the opportunity to ask questions and raise any concerns.

Topic: Covid-19 and cardiac sarcoidosis

On 10th Feb the cardiac sarcoidosis team hosted a webinar for patients, exploring a range of topics, including challenges in diagnosis, management and monitoring of cardiac sarcoidosis during the Covid-19 era, the vaccination programme and efficacy for cardiac sarcoidosis patients, and how we are delivering care for cardiac sarcoidosis patients at the current time.

Topic: Challenges and implications of Covid-19 for people living with cardiac sarcoidosis

On 1st July the cardiac sarcoidosis team hosted their first webinar for patients to explore the challenges and implications of Covid-19 for people living with the condition. The session explored a range of issues including the challenges in diagnosis, management and monitoring of cardiac sarcoidosis during the Covid-19 era, and a discussion around whether patients with the condition are at higher risk of the disease. Patients also had the opportunity to ask the clinical team questions.
