Tissue governance training sessions are open to any person involved in research involving human tissue at any of the licensed sites.

Research tissue governance training (one hour)
This course is essential training for any Trust or Imperial College London staff member* who is involved in research using human organs, tissues, cells or cellular material. The training session is designed to support researchers in understanding the requirements for obtaining, storing and using human tissue in research. A certificate of training will also be provided following the session.
Each training session will cover:
- what the research tissue governance framework is and who needs to comply with it
- what is classified as “relevant material”
- what research groups and individuals should do to ensure they are complying with requirements
- when a material transfer agreement is required
- what resources are available to support research staff and where to go for more information
- open Q&A session.
