The OSCE
Our OSCE training programme is a 5 week intensive, tailor-made study programme to help you prepare for the OSCE.
As we help you to prepare to pass your OSCE, our nursing and development team will also explain some information relevant to working as a registered nurse in the UK.
During this time, you will be working and training alongside your other international nurse colleagues, in simulated clinical settings both at Harefield and Royal Brompton hospitals, to practice the skills that will be assessed in the OSCE. These include:
- Measuring and documenting vital signs
- Wound care
- Basic life support
- Safe administration of medication.
Once you have passed your OSCE, you will then receive your NMC PIN, which allows you to practice as a Band 5 registered nurse in the UK.
You can find more information about the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and joining the register here.
