The work of our clinicians is supported by advanced diagnostic and research imaging services. We have a track record of significant investment in imaging technology, allowing us to diagnose many patients without the need for invasive procedures.
We use advanced computerised tomography (CT) scanners at both hospitals. Our CT scanners can diagnose early coronary heart disease by generating very precise images of the heart.
We carry out cardiac angiograms in seven dedicated catheter laboratories across both hospitals.
The latest computed radiography (CR) and PACS systems were installed in 2009. The imaging departments at both hospitals operate in a filmless environment. This means that images can immediately be accessed in various areas including the wards, ITU, surgical theatres and outpatients. Digital images can also be sent and received from other healthcare facilities.
